Description 1980 Scorpion TK 340 Vintage Snowmobile This is the best Scorpion I've seen on eBay in a while - someone's going to get a nice sled! This TK is in overall great shape - hood, windshield, skis, tunnel, seat, motor, track all good.  And cleaned up pretty nice as you can see.  Runs great - we got a little dusting of snow in MN overnight, I fired it up and took it for a spin (all photos are from today 11/16/08).  Mileage reads 2081. You will notice in the pics that the dash decals are not original - it was very typical for the original Scorpion decals to crack and peel off after a few years, and that's what happened to this one.  Also, the track is not original - see photo - but it is lightly studded (good for traction and braking).  The plastic where the rewind handle returns is busted up a bit, again, very typical for these sleds - see photo.  The seat is great, except for one very small tear on the back - about the size of a Q-tip. If you look at the pics under the hood, you will see everything's there! Scorpion snowmobiles were made in Crosby, MN - about 15 minutes away from here.  My dad worked in R&D, and I remember when Scorpion re-styled the TK - the 'wedge-style' and wider ski stance.  Awesome.  Unfortunately for Scorpion, hard times forced them (and others) out of business.  I wish I could keep this one, but, reluctantly - it has to go! I guarantee the sled will be in running condition when picked up - it is ready right now.  However, there can be no warranties - terms are "AS-IS" only, so please ask any and all questions you may have before you bid.  I will respond as quickly as possible.
